What are black orbs?

I've had some weird experiences lately that leave me scratching my head. I've seen these things I call "black orbs" a few times now, and it feels like something out of a mystery novel. The first time was in my apartment, and it floated right through like it owned the place. All sorts of strange things happened there—black orbs, golden ones too, along with dark shadows and white apparitions quietly hanging around. One memory burned into my brain is seeing a golden orb with what seemed like wings fluttering by. It felt like living inside one of those ghost hunter shows.

The black orbs stand out for sure. They have this velvety glow, but are pure darkness all at once—a total contrast to those lively colored ones I've seen swirling around before.
