I have been trying astral projection for about two or three months now. I can get myself into a very relaxed state and reach the point where I start feeling strong vibrations throughout my body. That part seems to work fine. But I can never get past that point.
When the vibrations start, my heart rate goes up. It feels like I am getting close. But the moment I try to actually separate or push myself out, the vibrations just stop. Everything fades and I am back to square one. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
I usually try at night. I sleep during the day so I can be awake and alert when I attempt it. While I am lying there in that state, I see strange shapes and weird visions. They are not clear images, just odd patterns and colors. After I fail to project, I usually just fall asleep and end up having unusual dreams that feel different from normal sleep dreams.
I also sleep on the top bunk of a bunk bed. I have been wondering if that makes a difference. Maybe the height or the way the bed moves affects things. I do not know.
If anyone has suggestions on how to actually get past the vibration stage and separate, I would appreciate the advice.
