Heat sensation during meditation: causes?

Has anyone else experienced intense heat from the top of their head? Recently, while meditating, I felt this unusual warmth. It's different because during reiki sessions, I usually feel cold.

I'm curious about what might cause such a sensation. Could it be connected to reiki practices, or perhaps something like a kundalini awakening? I'm eager to understand what's happening. Any insights or similar experiences would be really helpful in understanding this unexpected occurrence.
