Hey everyone! I'm really confused about how to calculate my life path number in numerology. I've been trying to figure it out, but I keep seeing different methods online, and now I'm not sure which one to use. Let me explain what's been going on.
So, the life path number is supposed to be based on your birth date, right? But here's where I'm getting stuck. Some people say you just add up all the digits of your birth date, like day, month, and year, and that's it! For example, if you were born on November 14, 2019 (11/14/2019), you'd do 1+1+1+4+2+0+1+9. That adds up to 19, and then you reduce it to a single digit by adding 1+9, which gives you 10, and then 1+0, which is 1. So, your life path number would be 1.
But then, other people say you should reduce each part of your birth date first. So, for the same date, you'd reduce the day (14) to 1+4=5, the month (11) to 1+1=2, and the year (2019) to 2+0+1+9=12, which reduces to 1+2=3. Then you add those reduced numbers: 5+2+3=10, and then reduce that to 1+0=1. So, again, you get 1.
Wait, that seems the same in this example, but I've tried it with other dates, and sometimes the two methods give different results. That's why I'm so confused! Which method is the "correct" one? I've been reading about numerology for a while now, and it seems like there's no one "right" way to do it. Some people swear by one method, and others say the other way is the only way. It's frustrating because I just want to know my true life path number!
I've also been wondering if there's an "official" source or ancient text that explains how to calculate it properly. I mean, numerology has been around for thousands of years, so there must be some kind of guide or rulebook, right? But when I look it up, everyone seems to have their own interpretation. It makes me question whether the life path number is even based on any real tradition or if it's just something people made up over time.
Another thing that's been bugging me is whether it even matters which method you use. Maybe the universe just wants us to pick the number that resonates with us personally, even if it's not the "official" way. But then again, if I'm trying to follow the traditional rules, I don't want to do it wrong. Ugh, this is so confusing!
Has anyone else had this issue? How did you figure it out? Do you just go with what feels right, or do you stick to one method no matter what? I'd really appreciate some advice here. Thanks in advance!
