I’ve been thinking a lot about how mental health connects to our chakras, especially since I’ve been dealing with my own struggles over the years. I’ve been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and while I don’t like labeling myself, it’s been a wild ride trying to balance my mind and energy. I truly believe that when our chakras are out of alignment, it can really mess with our mental state. For me, it’s been all about the third eye and crown chakras—those are the ones that deal with intuition, clarity, and connection to the universe. When they’re blocked or overactive, it can lead to some pretty intense mental battles.


I’ve definitely had my share of irrational thoughts, manic episodes, and deep depressive crashes. It was like my mind was a rollercoaster, and I couldn’t get off. But over time, I’ve started to notice that when I focus on balancing my chakras through meditation and self-reflection, things get a little clearer. It’s not perfect—I still feel out of alignment sometimes—but the difference is huge compared to where I was a few years ago.


I’ve been medication-free for about three years now, and while that’s been a personal choice, it’s taught me a lot about taking responsibility for my own healing. It’s not about changing everything overnight; it’s about small steps and being kind to yourself. Meditation has been a lifesaver for me. It helps calm the noise in my head and brings me back to center. I’ve also learned to love myself through the chaos, which is something I used to struggle with.


Healing isn’t linear, and it’s okay to take your time. If anyone’s going through something similar, just know that progress is slow, but it’s worth it. You don’t have to have it all figured out—just keep moving forward and trust the process. Reclaiming your life starts with self-love, and that’s something no one else can do for you. 💛
