For a long time, I thought there was one grand meaning to life. It felt comforting, like something clear we could all hold on to.

But then I realized that idea seemed more like a fantasy than truth. It left me feeling strange and distant from everyone around me. Like I was sitting on the sidelines while others played joyfully.

It’s a lonely place to be, to feel as if you’re always on the outside looking in. That’s where I found the beauty in understanding that maybe there doesn’t have to be just one answer after all.
