Understanding The Devil and Page of Pentacles in a Tarot Reading

Alright, so I just did a tarot reading about an old friend and their feelings towards me, and I’m trying to make sense of the cards I pulled. I’m not super experienced with tarot, but I’ll share what I got and see if anyone can help me interpret it!

First, I asked about how this friend felt about me back in high school. I pulled the 4 of Wands reversed. From what I know, the 4 of Wands is usually about celebration, community, and harmony, but when it’s reversed, it can mean feeling isolated or like you’re not part of the group. So maybe my friend felt left out or like they couldn’t express their feelings back then. It makes me think they might have been interested but held back because they thought I had other things going on or wasn’t available.

Then, I asked a follow-up question about why they might have seen me in a negative light. I pulled The Devil, and honestly, it made me feel a little uneasy. The Devil card often represents shadowy feelings, temptation, or feeling trapped. It made me wonder if my friend saw me as a bad influence or someone who brought out parts of themselves they weren’t proud of. Maybe they felt tempted to act on their feelings but held back because they thought it wasn’t a good idea.

I wasn’t sure what to make of The Devil, so I asked for more clarity. That’s when I pulled the Page of Pentacles. Pages usually represent new beginnings or messages, and Pentacles are all about practicality, hard work, and the physical world. But I’m not totally sure how this ties into the previous cards. Is my friend trying to approach me in a more grounded way? Or maybe they’re considering reaching out but in a very practical or cautious manner?

I’m a bit confused about how The Devil and the Page of Pentacles connect. Was my friend feeling trapped by their feelings but now trying to take a more practical step? Or is there something about material security or stability that’s playing a role here? I’d love to hear your thoughts and see if you can help me piece this together! 😊

I’ve always found the Devil card fascinating—it’s like that intense attraction or connection that can feel almost magnetic, even if it’s not always the happiest or healthiest. When I’m reading for someone, I think they can really sense when I’m picking up on something emotional, even if I don’t say much. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of love readings, but I do like asking questions like, “What’s currently uniting you with this person?” It feels more open-ended and less about predicting the future. Sometimes, after the first question, I’ll do a couple more spreads to get a better sense of where both people stand. It’s funny because this approach works for so much more than just love—it’s all about understanding what’s pulling people together.

The Devil and the Page of Pentacles can definitely paint an interesting picture. The Devil often represents attraction, desire, or even obsession, while the Page of Pentacles might suggest a focus on the physical or material aspects of a relationship. Maybe you're drawn to someone for surface-level qualities rather than a deep emotional connection. If you're feeling stuck or unsure, try asking for clarification cards or dive deeper into the conversation. You have nothing to lose but your ego, and you might just uncover some super duper amazing insights!
