I’ve got to share my amazing experiences with lightning balls and ribbons of lightning! Spending time in the North Pennines has been nothing short of incredible, especially when I camp on Cross Fell. Just picture it – I'm up about 2900 feet, hanging out during summer storms, and there they are: those mesmerizing balls of light dancing around the sky!

The weather can be pretty grim at times, but it’s part of what makes this place special. There’s even the Helm Wind that adds a unique twist to the local climate. It used to be called Fiends Fell, which gives it a cool history vibe!

Every time I see those lightning forms, I can’t help but feel awe. It’s such a wild sight! If you ever get the chance to explore this area during a storm, take it. You might just get lucky and catch some lightning magic!
