Can you see a moonbow?

Title: Do you see a rainbow around the moon?

I've always found it fascinating how frequently I spot a rainbow around the moon. It's such a beautiful sight! But what intrigues me even more is that not everyone sees it the same way. At first, I thought maybe it had something to do with one's vision—only those with perfect eyesight could catch this lunar halo. But it turns out, that's not true. Friends of mine who wear glasses and others with 20/20 vision have mixed experiences.

So, I'm curious—can you see this rainbow? What do you think influences whether someone can or can't see it? I'd love to hear about your experiences and thoughts on this colorful mystery!

I've never spotted a moonbow like the one on Wikipedia. However, I've seen those faintly colored rings around the moon on a few occasions.

It's interesting to think that this happens because of vapor or ice crystals in the atmosphere. I usually notice these rings when the sky is a bit hazy.

I found some images that perfectly show what I'm talking about! It's such a cool sight!

I've never seen a moon rainbow, but the idea is just beautiful! 🌙

A couple of years ago, though, I did spot a stunning moon halo on a chilly winter night. At first, I felt a little freaked out by how huge it was! 😳 But wow, was it mesmerizing! I ended up standing outside for about 20 minutes, just taking it all in. It was such a special moment! 💖
