Is the Green Dragon a Spirit Guide from My Third Eye?

Hi everyone! I’m new here and really excited to join this group. I wanted to share something pretty amazing that happened recently. My mom, who is a Reiki healer, was helping me balance my energy. She found my heart chakra was partly closed, but she managed to open it up! She also said my crown chakra is wide open, which is cool.

Then, while she was working on my third eye, I had this really clear vision. I saw a beautiful Green Dragon surrounded by golden light! It felt so powerful and peaceful at the same time.

I’m so curious about what this might mean. Could this dragon be a spirit guide for me? What does a dragon usually symbolize in experiences like this? And is there a special link between seeing it and my third eye being worked on? I’d love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has had a similar experience :)

I appreciate all the different experiences shared here about dragon energies. Regarding the presence of the Green Dragon and its connection to energy centers, I've come to see the chakras more as gateways into other layers of reality. The golden light people mention with this dragon might be less about an external entity and more about one's own inner light becoming visible. In this view, the dragon could be understood as a symbol for what we wish to express or understand from our own psychic space, particularly through the third eye area.

My own direct experience with this specific energy is limited compared to others here, but this perspective has been helpful in my own reflections. There are many many things like this where the interpretation can vary so much from person to person. I just wanted to share this angle in case it resonates or offers another way to think about your own experiences.

I’ve been practicing Reiki since I was attuned back in 2000. Over the years, I’ve come to see it as a grounded form of energy work with deep roots in early 20th-century Japan. That historical context often helps explain some of the symbolism we encounter, like dragons. In many Eastern traditions, the dragon isn’t a monster—it’s a symbol of transcendent energy, a bridge between the earth and the sky, representing a powerful flow that goes beyond the ordinary.

This ties into how I understand the third eye. It’s not about physical sight; it’s about perceiving in a way that moves past our basic survival instincts. When that inner vision opens, you start to notice subtler layers of energy and presence that everyday awareness usually misses. I was reminded of this recently when a fellow practitioner, Alex, who lives in England, shared an experience with me. He described a clear, inner vision of a dragon spirit not coming from his third eye, but actually rising from the area around his heart. It struck me as a powerful image—the heart as a source of that same transcendent, protective energy.

It got me thinking about the name Alex, too, which has roots in words meaning “defender” or “protector.” I don’t think that’s a coincidence. Sometimes these personal symbols and experiences feel deeply connected to who we are and what we’re here to explore. It’s less about interpreting the vision in one fixed way and more about noticing what it stirs up in your own practice. Has anyone else had experiences where spiritual imagery felt intimately tied to a specific part of your energy, or even to your own name?

Lately during my Reiki sessions, things have gotten so vivid! My mom and I both saw tigers, which feels huge and so protective. It’s like these symbols just jump out and you know they mean something. And I have to say, ever since I started taking skate fish liver oil, my mind's eye is so much clearer. Like, I’m seeing colors in my meditation now, which never happened before. It’s just wild!

It got me thinking about my name, Alex. I looked it up, and it’s all about defending and helping people. Not just men, but everyone. That really hit home for me. It feels like a little nudge about what I’m here to do, you know?

I’ve also been reading up on dragons in spirituality. Wow, what a symbol! It feels like a sign of starting a brand new chapter. The message seems to be about being brave, taking chances, and opening up, even when it feels scary. But the coolest part is the feeling that you’re protected while you do it. The green dragon specifically connects to the Earth, which makes total sense for me. I’ve always felt so at peace and inspired just being outside in nature.

So, from all this, my little piece of advice is just to keep meditating regularly. Seriously! Even just a few quiet minutes can open a door. You start seeing things, getting ideas, and it feels like you’re on this amazing adventure of getting to know yourself better. It’s been so inspiring for me! :)

I just had this wild ayahuasca journey – and a dragon showed up! It was incredible. After connecting with a lion spirit earlier, this massive, powerful dragon emerged. It felt like pure strength, like this deep roar of emotion I’d been holding back. The message was so clear: be bold, be authentic, let your true self out to play! This is only the beginning for me, and I’m so excited to see where this dragon energy goes. If you’ve ever felt a call to be braver, to live louder and truer, maybe it’s your dragon spirit too! It’s all about that inner fire. Let’s embrace our power and go for what we truly want – fearlessly! 😊
